The Golf Club at Bucyrus tee times
River Oaks Golf Course is a semi-public golf facility located at 1330 E. Mansfield St., Bucyrus, Ohio. The club traces its origin to 1925 when the course was constructed as a 9 hole private golf club. There is a rumor that it was designed by an old Scotsman but there is no knowledge that it was the Scotsman. The club was run as a member-owned private golf facility until 1992 when a new nine holes was added. At that time, the club catered to members but was also made available for public play. This operating philosophy continues today.
The public is welcome. In March 2003, a new ownership group took over operation of the club. River Oaks Golf Course, Ltd. is a limited liability company comprised of fifty-nine owner-members.
River Oaks Golf Course is an 18 hole championship golf course. When the new nine holes were constructed, they were blended in with the original nine holes. On the front nine, holes #1,7,8 & 9 are original holes. On the back nine, holes #10,11, 12, 17 and 18 are original holes.
