Tiburon Golf Course Omaha

Tiburon is a 27-hole complex that includes the Great White, Hammerhead, and Mako nines. The use of a shark theme in the middle of the Great Plains is a rather novel idea. However, in terms of course rating, the Tiburon Golf Course is certainly one of the best golf courses in Nebraska. For example, the Great White and Hammerhead nines combine for a course rating of 73.8, and together they measure 7,005 yards with a slope of 131. The Hammerhead and Mako nines are a combined 6,887 yards with a 73.3 course rating and a slope of 136. Finally, the Mako/Great White combo is 6,932 yards long, and it features a slope of 130 and a course rating of 73.5.

The original course was opened in 1989 after being designed by famed PGA pro Lee Trevino. Larry Hagewood and Dave Barrett later collaborated in further design in 1994. Of all the golf courses in Omaha, Nebraska, Tiburon is one you want to play. Complete facilities include fine pro shop, quality dining, range, practice putting green, and practice pitching and chipping area. Discount Nebraska tee times at Tiburon are a real find. Tiburon is conveniently located not far off of Interstate 80, just west of the Chalco Hills Recreation Area.
