Sandpiper Bay Golf and Country Club Myrtle Beach

Sandpiper Bay Golf and Country Club is an excellent destination for Sunset Beach golf, just 20 minutes south of Myrtle Beach. Dan Maples designed the course that has received four stars from Golf Digest.

The Sand, Piper, and Bay courses feature a slope of 121 in any combination. Course ratings range from 71.4 to 72.0, depending upon the nines played. The Sand nine is the shortest of the three, but it starts off with a 562 yard par five. The Piper nine measures 3399 yards, and the Bay nine is 3450 yards long from the Black Tees.

All 27 greens have recently been switched over to MiniVerde Bermuda, one of the new ultra-dwarf strains of Bermuda grass that give coastal area golf course superintendents a much easier-to-maintain option.

Play shots that you can hit straight, and you'll be O.K. at Sandpiper Bay. Water abounds, and white sand bunkers are liberally scattered across the course.

Piper's Bar & Grill is serving seven days a week. Enjoy tremendous views of the course while you relax with a drink or a bite to eat.

When you need tee times in Myrtle Head, explore the Sandpiper Bay Golf and Country Club. If you can take advantage of Sunset Beach discount tee times at this course, you'll be especially pleased.
