Saint Andrews GCC-GA Atlanta

Consistently rated as one of the top ten courses in all of Georgia, Saint Andrews Golf & Country Club successfully aspires to its historic name. Designed by Ward Northrup and opened in 1973, this championship layout offers a 125 slope rating and a course rating of 73.0.

This par 72, Atlanta-area test features a combination of Bermuda fairways and bent grass greens. At a maximum of 6629 yards, the course is long enough to challenge and short enough to enjoy. Five sets of tees address the varying talents of all golfers. The front nine maneuvers its way past homes in the neighborhood while the back nine plies its way through more open terrain.

The 398 yard fourth hole will test your iron play. A large pond lies right in front of the green, and large bunkers penalize efforts to go long to play it safe over the water. In general, this Winston golf course generously uses large bunkers and water hazards to offer an exciting test of your skills. Elevation changes can make club selection more demanding for the newcomer.

Saint Andrews has extensive practice facilities, as befits a facility of this caliber. A two-tiered driving range, bent grass putting green, and practice bunker are all available. The clubhouse includes a dining area and a bar. When Winston tee times are needed, consider a trip to this beautiful golf and country club.
