Rifle Creek Golf Course Colorado

The Rifle Creek Golf Course is a Rifle golf course in Garfield County just north of Interstate 70. Dick Phelps has designed some great golf courses in Colorado. and Rifle Creek is one of them. The par 72 layout carries a slope of 123. The USGA course rating is 70.3. Since it opened in 1960, this modest-length 6,235 yard championship test has fully matured. Lush green fairways contrast with the rock outcroppings, buttes, and mesas in the area. Large aspens dot the valley floor. The fountain in the pond offers a contrast to the barren, craggy rocks in the distance. Play the course right after the mountaintops of the Great Hogback Range have been freshly dusted in snow for a real aesthetic treat. Artist Christos was drawn to the majesty of these surroundings. Very near the course, he created his famous "Valley Curtain."

Rifle Creek offers additional amenities like a driving range, practice green, pro shop, and snack bar. Enjoy Mulligan's, an Irish pub and eatery. It's a great "nineteenth hole" destination where you can soak up the mountain scenery. Look for Rifle tee time deals for a memorable mountain valley golf experience in the Rifle River Valley.
