Potomac Ridge Maryland

The unique 27-hole Potomac Ridge Golf Course lies 18 miles south of Washington, D.C. in Waldorf, Maryland. Three 9-hole sections feature Bermuda grass, well-maintained Bent grass greens, lakes, streams and sand traps. The Meadows, designed by Ault Clark, measures 6,601 yards from the back tee; The Hollow, also by Ault Clark, and Ridge, designed by Tom Walker, are 6,603 yards from the back tee. All three have a 71.5 rating and 132 slope rating. Year-round practice facilities include chipping and putting areas. The dress code is online (no denim or "sports/athletic" pants.)

Discount tee times are easy to book online, with no penalty for canceling up to 24 hours in advance. The Online Store offers gift certificates, vouchers and equipment specials, as well as three course membership options.

The Potomac Ridge Learning Center offers instruction programs for all levels, plus clinics and playing lessons. Terry Shaffer, PGA, is Director of Instruction. In addition to the Pro Shop and snack bar, there are two social gathering venues: The Pavilion (capacity 125-150) and The Hospitality Room (capacity 80-100), that can be booked separately or together to accommodate up to 250 guests.

Since taking over Potomac Ridge (formerly South View) in 1999, Atlantic Golf has implemented a steady improvement plan that continues to be well-received by course patrons.
