North Kent Golf Course Grand Rapids

Ray Klein was the course architect that sculpted the Michigan countryside prior to North Kent's debut in 1979. The par 70 layout is 6,326 yards long from the back tees. The course rating is 70.1, and the slope comes in at a healthy 127. Water makes a strategically challenging appearance on a number of holes at this Rockford golf course. For example, the 90 degree dogleg right at number eight concludes with a shot into a green well-protected by water to the front left. Also, one player commented on the rolling, sloping terrain. Another indicated that the number of trees made "keeping it in play" quite important.

An important and unique feature at this Rockford golf course is the lighted driving range. Not that many golf courses in Michigan offer this feature. Quickly expand upon your practice opportunities by heading out to the lighted range. There is also a challenging practice putting green. North Kent has a fully-stocked pro shop that is operated by PGA pros, and the restaurant offers daily specials. North Kent GC is a good place for Rockford tee time deals when you want a relaxing and yet stimulating golf experience.
