Leelanau Club at Bahle Farms Traverse City

The Leelanau Club At Bahle Farms is one of the best golf courses in Michigan for combining stunning views and challenging golf. Sutton's Bay and Lake Michigan offer a sparkling backdrop for this classic example of northern Michigan golf. Golf course architect Gary Pulsipher gets the credit for maximizing the use of this terrific glacier-carved landscape. He's crafted a par 71 test that stretches to 6,651 yards. It plays to a slope of 137 from those back tees, and the course rating comes in at 72.2. He does provide five sets of tees that allow the course to play as short as 4,600 yards.

Parts of the course are routed through an active cherry orchard. One player commented on the sheer beauty of the Leelanau peninsula. Another said that many locals prefer playing this Traverse City golf course over some of the well-known resort courses in the area. The fourth hole can play as long as 202 yards, and when you step up to the tee, all you see is blue -- water, that is. It's virtually all carry to the green, and there is no escape route. You'll enjoy a fine array of amenities here, including practice range, putting green, pro shop, food, and beverages. When you need tee times in Traverse City, follow the lead of the local golfers and heard for the Leelanau Club.
