Angels Crossing Golf Club Kalamazoo

Angels Crossing Golf Club is a Vicksburg golf course designed by Bruce Matthews III that opened in 2003. Some of the best golf courses in Michigan are found in this area of the state thanks to topography perfect for the game of golf. Here, just a few miles south of Kalamazoo, Matthews has woven fantastic natural elements into a tapestry of golfing excitement. The result is a 7,169 yard masterpiece from the most distant tees. The slope is 135, and the USGA course rating is a noteworthy 74.3. Five sets of tees allow golfers to play Angel's Crossing at distances as short as 4,900 yards.

Angels Crossing Golf Club is a great course for nature lovers, especially if they love two common elements here -- water and sand. Water hazards and marshes threaten to confound the less than disciplined golfer on ten of the eighteen holes. Deep, contoured bunkers guard many greens, and sprawling waste bunkers will occasionally consume tee shots that are just a little off target. When you step up to the first tee, you may want to seriously consider an iron off the tee to keep it out of massive waste areas both left and right of the fairway. Enjoy the targeted driving range, practice green, and practice bunker. The pro shop has a thorough selection of the latest name-brand merchandise. Restaurant and bar facilities are found in the clubhouse just opened in 2008. Tee times in Vicksburg at this championship layout will demand your "A" game while rewarding you with one scenic vista after another.
