Dobson Ranch Golf Course tee times
Dobson Ranch Golf Course is a Mesa golf course that is one of the best golf courses in Arizona in terms of value at a municipal course. Golf Digest has given it 4.5 stars. It also designated it as the "Best Municipal Course in Arizona." Red Lawrence designed Dobson Ranch GC prior to its opening in 1974. From the tips, it is 6,712 yards long. The slope is 117 and the course rating is 71.1. This par 72 test is a bit unusual in that it offers five par fives. This tends to keep giving a player hope regardless of how his/her round is going. In fact, the very first hole is a 547 yard five par. The 417 yard eighth will confound anyone who pushes it right. Water fills in the dogleg right, and it catches any irons into the green that go right or long.
A number of players commented on the low rates on weekdays, and the ability to play a round in 3.5 hours off-peak. One reviewer felt that it was the best muni course in the Valley. You'll find a driving range, practice green, and pro shop. Snacks, sandwiches, and beverages are also offered at Dobson's Restaurant.
