Lake Forest Golf Club has earned a reputation as one of Ann Arbor’s favorite golf destinations through its’ commitment to consistently offering a quality experience for each and every one of our guests. When you consider the conditions of the golf course, the complete practice center, and the beautiful clubhouse built around a turn-of-the century farmhouse, it becomes clear why we are often mistaken for a private country club. At Lake Forest the public can enjoy the finest of quality while paying a fraction of the price. Unlike many golf courses built around housing developments, one can enjoy the 176 acre setting of Lake Forest without the risk of an errant shot ending up in someone’s living room. Two distinct and different nine-hole layouts can be enjoyed while observing nothing but beautiful green grasses, mature trees, natural ponds, and of course lightening quick putting surfaces, often referred to as some of the finest public greens in the area. The front nine features an open links style feel with deep, flowing, heather grasses lining the fairway. The back nine is an entirely different experience as it cut through the natural woods, and ponds that adorn the property. All holes features include generous fairways, large greens, and four sets of tees to accommodate all levels of play.
Just interested in working on your game? Our 10 acre Practice Facility is just what you have been looking for. Practice every aspect of your game on our three tier driving range with grass and mat hitting stations, two large putting greens, and chipping areas including sand bunkers. Our practice facility is also home to the Lake Forest Golf Academy featuring LPGA and PGA professionals. The teaching team is led by Debbie Williams- Hoka, former LPGA tour player. Debbie is joined by Dan Bellus in our popular Lake Forest Jr. Golf Academy, run every summer for 6 weeks. Our Professional Staff is available for private and group lessons, as well as outing and event clinics.
